Introduction
This document provides instructions for enabling the Minimum Crib Diameter custom configuration.
Procedure
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enterEnter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press Q “Q” to Query.Ensure
- that the table below exists. Enter any relevant data and press Escape to perform the search.
If the table does not exist:
- Type A Press “A” to add a new record.
- Enter all the information, as per shown in the example (s) below.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Type E Press “E” to exit.
Some of the baskets have a minimum blank size that they can support without special modifications or adapters. Thus, the system allows a minimum blank size crib diameter, so the generators do not crib lenses below this minimum size. This will allow configuration allows the optimal use of the coating system baskets.Note:

The MINIMUM CRIB DIAM entry works for all jobs in the lab and not just coated jobs. |
If a lab uses Coburn generators, the minimum has to be 66.0mm or higher. This entry uses the Float Setting. Depending on the lab needs, this should either have Enabled set to (N) for no minimum cribbing or the value in the Float Setting set to a value just larger than the normal block size.
