Introduction
This document provides instructions
on howon how to set up the
manufacturer configurationManufacturer Configuration screen for individual manufacturers. The Manufacturer Configuration is an expansion of the General Configuration, and you may configure this table for any or all manufacturers. Use this option to further control your inventory (by manufacturer) with supporting criteria. The manufacturer configuration
will override the general configurationoverrides the General Configuration. Any fields that are left blank
willdefault to the
general configurationGeneral Configuration.
Procedure
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 9 - Inventory and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 10 – Physical Inventory Menu and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 2 – Manufacturer Configuration and press enterEnter.
The Manufacturer Configuration screen displays.
- Enter the appropriate values pressing enter past each field. Field definitions as follows:
PERFORM: Query Next Previous View Add Update Remove Table Screen ...
Searches the active database table. ** 1: mconfig table**

Manufacturer Configuration Field Definitions
Enter the manufacturer’s code
Manufacturer’s Code - Up to 3 characters, alpha/numeric. Manufacturer code as defined in Optifacts.
- To view all manufacturer codes, use the Optifacts menu 5-3-8 Mfr Names Reports.
Purchase by Usage or by Min/Max computation (U/M)?
- U “U” – Order by usage Usage only.
- M “M” – Order by using Min/Max.

advice separately. The only option is a combination (Both) when ordering. Refer to the Purchase Order documentation for full details on processing orders. |

Ordering Cycle in

.- Enter the number of days between normal ordering cycles. If weekly, enter 7 days. This entry determines the maximum stock quantity in minthe Min/max Max update.
Min/Max Computation Code
- 1 character, alpha.
- Defaults to A (only option available).
- Press Escape, to save the data.
- Press E to exit the screen.
