Introduction
This document provides instructions for enabling the Commercial Price Feasibility function which will show commercial price , which shows Commercial Price details, the total price of the order, entered job data values, and validate validates the date needed Date Needed against the estimated delivery date Estimated Delivery Date of the feasibility screen. To view and use the Commercial Price Feasibility, the The lab must be set up with commercial pricing in the hpa_hcpc table to view and use Commercial Price Feasibility. For the Estimated Delivery Date to be calculated calculate and validated validate against the Date Needed, the appropriate Estimated Delivery Data calculations must be setin place.
Procedure
Configuration
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.
Type Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press enter.
Type Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
Press "Q" to Query the table.
Ensure that the table below exists.
If the table does not exist.
Type A to add Press "A" - Add a new record.
Enter all the information as per the example (s) below.
Press Escape to save the data.
Type Press "E" to exit the screen.
Entering a Job
Selection Option 4 from the Optifacts Main Menu.
Enter a job as normal in LayoutOrder Entry as you usually would.
The Commercial Price Feasibility will display once you pass the Pricing Options.
If the lab uses the Commercial Price Feasibility screen, the Quantity quantity shown will now represent represents the quantity on hand minus the quantity allocated for previous jobs still in Pick Ticket mode. For example, say there are ten lenses on hand for SKU 1111111111. If we get two jobs come in where each eye uses that SKU, the quantity allocated is 4. On the Commercial Price Feasibility screen for the next job that is entered uses that will use that SKU, the Quantity will show quantity shows 6 for one eye (10 on hand minus 4 previously allocated) and 5 for the other eye (minus one more that will be is used by the first eye). If this job is accepted, the quantity allocated will then be is now 6.
Once a job is verified, cancelled canceled, or transferred to a different site, the quantity allocated will decrease decreases accordingly.
Bulk lens orders do not affect the quantity allocated as these can be filled at any time and may be filled perhaps by different warehouses (if the lab is configured for configuration supports multiple lens warehouses).
Commercial Price Box
The box underneath Sphere, Cyl, Axis, etc.and other fields in the row, is a scroll-able box with the commercial Commercial pricing broken down by eye. The Use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys can be used to navigate up and down to see . Doing so allows viewing of the entire contents of the box..
The first line per eye includes the Commercial Code and the Report Description from the hpa_hcpc table for the first LENS pricing entry we found for the eye.
The second line per eye includes the prescription as entered by the operator and the diameter and base curve chosen by Blank Selection.
The following lines are the breakdown of commercial Commercial pricing by eye. (The first line with the price for the LENS description up above does not include the lens description again.)
- Price - The
- Base List price
- Discount - Any discount that applies to the description, either a percentage or a dollar amount.
- Net Price - The final price for that description
If there are any discounts from the traditional pricing system such as an Uncut discount, Balance Right/Left discount, Special Discount, or hand-entered amounts, they will show with display as just a Net Price.
The final line shows the final price before tax as calculated during feasibility.
Job Data Box
Pressing 'T' toggles the Job Data window.
The Job Data window is also scroll-able if there are enough entered more Job Data records than fit in the window.
This window is just for viewing any entered Job Data. No data entry is allowed.
Estimated Delivery Date (EDD)
If an Estimated Delivery Date is gets calculated, it is checked checks against the Date Needed entered in LayoutOrder Entry. If the EDD is calculated calculates to be after the Date Needed (for example, the Date Needed is Thursday but the calculated EDD is Friday), the Estimated Delivery Date is displayed displays in bold and is followed by three exclamation points to alert the operator. Otherwise, otherwise it will display displays as normal

For example, the Date Needed is Thursday, but the calculated EDD is Friday.
