Introduction
This document provides instructions for setting up the custom configuration for the UPS Software Interface.
Procedure
Once enabled, the statements (invoicing) program
will capturecaptures data for the UPS file each time it
is runruns. Any daily invoices or special invoices
will addget added to this file. Also, any General Delivery Notes
that arerun for monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly customers
will addget added to this file.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 β Editor Utilities and press
enterEnter.
Select Option 6 β Configuration Editor and press
enterEnter.
Select Option 6 β Edit Custom Configuration and press
enterEnter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press "Q" to Query.
- Ensure that the following table exists.
If the table does not exist:
- Press "A" - Add a new record.
- Enter all the information as per the example (s) below.
- Press Escape, to save the data.
- Press "E" to exit.
The file is created in the $CWD/share/ups_files directory and named: carrierextract.txt. The ups_files directory and carrierextract.txt file get created automatically. Optifacts continues to add to this file if itβs not moved, so an external process must exist to move and consume this file each night after all the invoices have run for the day.
