Introduction
This document provides instructions for manually adjusting the minimum and maximum lens inventory quantity, override the automatic system calculation, and running the minMin/max updateMax Update.
Switching to Min/Max stocking methods requires that you have your system has at least three months of valid EOE/inventory history stored on your system. You will normally typically switch to this system one vendor at a time to maintain a perpetual inventory that reflects your usage history.
Procedure
Min/Max Manual Adjustment

From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 9 - Inventory and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 5 – On-Hand Min/Max Changes and press enterEnter.
Search by SKU #
- Type S Enter “S” to search by SKU number and press enter.
- Type Enter or scan the SKU number and press enter.
The item details will be populated populate on the screen.
Search by Description
- Type D Enter “D” to search by Description and press enter.
- Enter all applicable relevant item details.
The system
will searchsearches based upon the input. If found, the item
is found it willdetails display on the screen.
Change Quantities
- Press Enter until you get to the Min-Stock Quantity field.
- Type Enter the new minimum quantity and press enter.Type M
- Enter “M” in the Min-Stock Override C field and press enterfield to manually control the quantity.
- M – Manual if “M” Manual, to control the minimum stock level is to be maintained manually.
- C – Computed “C” Computed, to control the quantity based upon usage history.
- Type Enter the new maximum quantity and press enter.Type M
- Enter “M” in the Max-Stock Override C field and press enterfield to manually control the maximum quantity.
- M – Manual if “M” Manual, to control the maximum stock level is to be maintained manually.
- C – Computed “C” Computed, to control the quantity based upon usage history.

Are all the data correct? (Y/N)
- Enter one of the following options and press enter.
- Y – “Y” Yes, to save the data.
- N – “N” No to return to the form.
- Press Escape to exit the screen and return to the Optifacts Lens Inventory Editor Utilities Menu.
Min/Max Update
Instructions The following are instructions for updating the minimum and maximum , stock levels and running the on-hand quantity report.
If you make any changes to Min/Max Update , you should be run when any changes are made to run the Min/Max and at it is advised to Update. We advise that you run the update weekly or at least monthly.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Type Select Option 9 - Inventory and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 3 – Inventory Procedures and press enterEnter.
Type Select Option 2 – Min/Max Update and press enterEnter.
The following message will be displayeddisplays:
- Enter “Y” to update the minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Type N and press enter to exit.Enter “N” to exit the screen without updating the minimum and maximum stock levels.
