Introduction

This document provides instructions

on how to set up the

Manufacturer Configuration screen for individual manufacturers. The Manufacturer Configuration is an expansion of the

General Configuration, and you may

configure this table for any or all manufacturers. Use this option to further control your inventory (by manufacturer) with supporting criteria. The manufacturer configuration

overrides the General Configuration. Any fields that are left blank

default to the

General Configuration.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 9 - Inventory and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 1 – Editor Utilities and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 10 – Physical Inventory Menu and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 2 – Manufacturer Configuration and press enterEnter.

Manufacturer’s Code - Up to 3 characters, alpha/numeric. Manufacturer code as defined in Optifacts.

• To view all manufacturer codes, use the Optifacts menu 5-3-8 Mfr Names Reports.

Purchase by Usage or by Min/Max computation (U/M)?

• U “U” – Order by usage Usage only.
• M “M” – Order by using Min/Max.

Compute the Minimum Stock - 9 characters, numeric

• Enter the number of days minimum supply to keep on hand.

Ordering Cycle in

Days - 9 characters, numeric

• Enter the number of days between normal ordering cycles. If weekly, enter 7 days. This entry determines the maximum stock quantity in minthe Min/max Max update.

Min/Max Computation Code

- 1 character, alpha.

• Defaults to A (only option available).

• Press Escape, to save the data.
• Type Press E to exit the screen.
