Introduction
This document provides instructions for using WinSCP for your monthly manufacturer reports.
Procedure
- Run your reports in Optifacts. (Refer to the Manufacturer Reports document for full details),
- Download WinSCP from the following link: https://winscp.net/eng/download.php and install it on the computer used to run the reports.
- Contact support@optifacts.com to have one of the support team personnel configure the settings for you.
Login to WinSCP
- Open and log on to WinSCP with your Optifacts the following user name and password.
- Username - reports
- Password - reports
- Go to the following directory: /u/optifacts/share Optifacts/Share/mfr_reports (Once set in WinSCP, it will opens automatically open in that this directory the next time WinSCP opens.)
- Refresh the screen by clicking the green arrows (as shown in the diagram below)
You should now see the report
The report is now in the right-side window.
- Click on the file and drag it over to your the local folder on the screen’s left side of the screen.

- Immediately Right Click on the file name in

You can add the date - A suggestion is to add a date to the file name (Example, ‘TransDat12-2019.csv’) so that it
doesn’t - won’t get overridden by the same file next month
. (For example, "TransDat12-2019- .
csv).
After renaming the file, it is ready to email to Essilor.
- Drag and Drop the file into your email and send it to Essilor.
Exit WinSCP
- Click the ‘X’ on the top right corner of the WinSCP window.
