Introduction
This document provides instructions for
usingsetting up the required custom configuration and the Custom Lite-Ups menu
within Layout.. In addition, you can build pricing options categories in the Custom Menu for use within order entry. This feature prompts the operator to scale down
thoughthrough lite-up categories in the
LayoutOrder Entry Pricing Options screen.
Procedure
Setup the Custom Configuration
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press Enter.
Select Option 6 - Configuration Editor and press Enter.
Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press Enter.
The Custom Configuration Editor displays.
- Press “Q” (Query) to search if the table exists.
If the table does not exist:
- Press “A” to add a new record.
- Enter all the data as shown in the diagram below.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Press “E” to exit the screen.
Setup the Custom Lite-up Menu
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press Enter.
Select Option 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press Enter.
Select Option 4 - Lite-up Options and press Enter.
Select Option 3 - Custom Lite-up Menu Editor and press Enter.
The Lite-up Menu Editor Displays.
- Press "A" to add a new record.
Lite-Up Option Fields
Menu Level – This is a prompt to specify the menu level where the Option Description is displayed.
- Enter the menu level number.
- Enter the menu level group name.
Example:
TypeMenu level number 1 would be the first description (s) or category (s) to display on the screen. When selected, the next level description (s) would display.
Option Description - This is the Name or Category title that will display on the screen.
- Enter the description.
- The cursor moves to the Option Number field.
Option Number - This number indicates the order in which you want the Description to appear in the list.
- Select the Option Number and press Enter.
Example: The Option Description Name Coatings is number 3 in the Main Menu listing, as seen in Order Entry.
- The cursor moves to the Menu Group Name field.
Menu Group Name - This will be the menu header name.
- Enter the Group Name.
Example: The Group Name (header) is Coatings, as seen in Order Entry.
- The Cursor will move to the Option Display Row field.
Option Display Row: This will indicate in which row the Option Description will appear.
- Enter the number.
Option Display Column: This will indicate in which column the Option Description will appear.
- Press “Y” (yes) to disable or “N” (no) to enable and press Enter.
Lite-up (num): NOT the number viewed on the Layout screen.
- Enter the first number on the pricing options available report for the pricing option.
Lite-up (bit): NOT the number viewed on the Layout screen.
- Enter the second number on the pricing options available report for the pricing option.
- Press Escape to save the data.
Examples of Set up Screens
Order Entry
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 4 - Run Layout and press enterEnter.
- Continue the layout Order Entry process until the Custom Lite-ups screen displays.
- Enter the applicable option number.
The second level will display.
- Enter the applicable number.The option numbers appear on the left
The next level of options will display.
- Enter the applicable number.
The next level of options will display, and the list shows the lite-up numbers available for selection.
- Use the → right arrow key to move the cursor to the Option field on the right side of the screen.
- Type Enter the applicable option number and press enter.lite-up number.
- Press Enter to continue the Order Entry process or press Escape to return to the custom lite-ups menus.
