Introduction

This document provides a detailed explanation of the Job Routing Remix capabilities. Use job routing to transfer jobs to an outside source or regional processing center for production and coating based upon account and product group mapping. This document explains how we can go beyond that and route jobs based upon product group and production capacity. The system is hard-coded to mix all Remix IDs, combine and split accordingly.

Procedure

Custom Configuration Entry

From the Optifacts Main Menu:

Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.

Select Option 6 – Configuration Editor and press Enter.

Select Option 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press Enter.

  • Ensure that the following table exists. If it does not, press A to add a new record. Enter all the data as shown below.

This custom configuration indicates:

  • Identity (destination) site set in the Character Setting.
  • All jobs remixed do not exceed the amount set in the Integer Setting.

The following example shows the limitation for Identity Site rxlab01.

Info

This table is required if you wish to limit the total number of jobs going to a given site and therefore leave it disabled if not required.

  • Press Escape to save the data.

Assign a Re-Mix Group ID to the applicable Conditions

From the Optifacts Main Menu:

  • Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.
  • Select Option 11 – Job routing Menu and press Enter.
  • Select Option 9 – Route Conditions Control Editor.
  • Assign a Remix Group ID to the Condition ID (s) to be grouped. For example, you may have multiple or similar condition IDs routed to the same destination that you may group under the same Remix Group ID.

The following examples show that the conditions for Glass and Poly are grouped in the same Remix Group ID.

Assign a Site Group Name to the Identity (destination) Site

From the Optifacts Main Menu:

  • Select Option 3 – Editor Utilities and press Enter.
  • Select Option 11 – Job routing Menu and press Enter.
  • Select Option 15 16 – Route Re-Mix Site Group Editor and press Enter.

The Job Routing Site Groups for Remix Control table is displayed.

  • Fill in the site group name and press Enter.
  • Enter the Destination Site and press Escape to save the data.

Set the Maximum number of jobs, reserve, and proportion per day for the Group ID

  • Select Option 16 17 – Route Re-Mix Editor and press Enter.

The Job Routing Re-Mix Control Editor displays.

Info

Use reserve sparingly since it can limit the number of jobs sent to a given site for other Group Names.

  • Fill in the Re-Mix Group ID previously assigned to the Condition (s) and press Enter.
  • Assign a priority number and press Enter.
  • Fill in the Site Group name applicable to this rule and press Enter.
  • Assign the maximum number of jobs per day allowed at this destination site and press Enter. Leave blank if not required.
  • Assign the proportion amount (%) of the total number of jobs to send to this destination and press Enter.
  • Assign the minimum number of jobs (reserve) to stay at the destination for this rule before the remix begins.
  • Press Escape to save the data.
