Introduction

This document provides instructions for enabling the Tilt Compensation custom configurations to allow compensation for a progressive prism tilt induced at the blocker.

Procedure

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.

Type 6 – Configuration Editor and press enter.

Type 6 – Edit Custom Configuration and press enter.

The Custom Configuration Editor displays.

  • Press Q to Query to ensure that the tables below exist.

If the tables do not exist:

  • Type A to add a new record.
  • Enter all the information as applicable
  • Press Escape to save the data.
  • Type E to exit.

Below are examples of the entries that can be used. When a progressive is run, the ofdemon program will look for entries with the Calling Program field value of “TILT COMP”. It will first look for an entry with the Field Name of “typecode-mat” (the example below is PAN-PX). If this is found the value in the Float Setting field is used for tilt comp, base up in diopters. If no record is found, a search is done for Field Name of “typecode” (the example below is PAN). If found the float value is used. If not found a search is done for the Field Name of “DEFAULT” ( the example is shown below). If not records are found, there is no tilt compensation done.
