Introduction

This document provides instructions for editing the color itemizations within the Price List Editor.

Procedure

This menu option allows you to edit the itemization of any lens color. You can only edit itemizations for existing lens colors, if you want to create a new lens color you must do so with the Color Database Editor.

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type 3 – Editor Utilities and press enter.

Type 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press enter.

Type 8 – Color Itemizations and press enter.

The Add/Edit Color Codes Menu displays.

  • Enter the color code as entered in Order Entry but do not include any intensity values. Colors like Tined, Green and Brown required an intensity value of 1, 2, or 3 along with the color code when entered in Order Entry but not in this editor.  Entering an asterisk (*) will bring up all colors and allow for scrolling through one by one.

If one or more matches are found, a prompt displays to edit the current entry or to view more.

  • Responding Yes will begin editing the plastic and glass billing categories.
  • Responding No will skip the current entry and move on to the next match.
  • When there are no more entries, a prompt will display to enter a color code to edit.
  • Press Escape to return to the Pricing Editor Main Menu.

Some reasons to change itemization categories are, wanting glass tint charges to be grouped into the Lens category, having transitions into price into Lens category or even to separate category for special sales analysis tracking.

Pressing Escape at any time during a deletion will abort the current process and start over from the prompt, pressing escape at the first prompt will return to the Pricing Editor Main Menu.
