Introduction

This document provides instructions for placing a job on hold using a tray track station. The job can still be entered and the lenses produced but will be stopped at the mailout station. Once the stations are setup, the lab can using the Station Assignment screen to put a job on hold without having to recall it in Rx Order Entry.

Note: The lite-up, job definition and trigger must be setup before you can use this process to place a job on hold. Refer to Hold Job Setup using a Lite-up, Job Data Definitions and Triggers document for setup instructions.

Procedure

Setup Sub-master Tracking Station

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type 7 - Tray Track and press enter.

Type 12 - Tray Track Configuration and press enter.

Type 2 - Sub-Master Station Number Setup and press enter.

The Sub-Master Station Number Setup screen displays.

  • Type Q for query.

Search for the sub-master station numbers or descriptions as determined by your system administrator.

  • Enter the predetermined number in the master station number field, or enter the predetermined number or description in the applicable fields.

  • Press escape to show the results.

If the entries do not exist:

  • Press A to add a record.

Note: The Master Station must be set up before adding a Sub-Master Station. Refer to the Master & Sub-Master Station Setup document for full details.

  • Enter the information as shown in the diagram below using the correct lite-up number for 'HOLD JOB'. Lite-up numbers vary by lab. Please make sure you are using the correct lite-up number.
  • Press escape to save the data.

Note: You may setup a number of hold stations. You can create different sub-master stations using a different station number and station description but point them all to the same 'HOLD JOB' lite-up.

Example: The station number and description are different than the one created above but is also pointing to lite-up number 124. 

Once the stations are setup, the lab can using the Station Assignment screen to put a job on hold without having to recall it in Rx Order Entry. Refer to the Station Assignment Process document for details.
