Introduction
This document provides instructions for setting up the Message of the Day.
Procedure
Add a Lite-up
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press Enter.
Select Option 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press Enter.
Select Option 4 - Lite-up Options and press Enter.
Select Option 1 - Add/Edit Lite-up Options and press Enter.
The Add/Edit Lite-up Options screen displays.
- Valid for (G) Glass, (P) Plastic,or ( * ) Both
- Enter an ( * ) asterisk for both.
- Enter the lite-up number that you are going to use.
The screen expands, displaying the rest of the fields.
- Enter all the data, as shown in the following diagram.
Are the Entries Correct (Y/N)?
- Press “Y” if correct.
- Press “N” to return to the form.
Add Automatic Lite-up
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press Enter.
Select Option 4 - Pricing Database Editor and press Enter.
Select Option 5 - Automatic Lite-up Options and press Enter.
Select Option 1 - Add/Edit Automatic Lite-up Options and press Enter.
The Add/Edit Lite-up Options screen displays.
- Enter account number “0” zero.
- Press “Y” to add a new record.
Enter all the data, as shown in the following diagram.
Are the Entries Correct (Y/N)?
- Press “Y” if correct.
- Press “N” to return to the form.
Look up the num and bit for the New Lite-up
You need to add an entry for the lite-up that you created, and the field name must match the lite-up name exactly. You need to know the num and bit for each lite-up. Run the Pricing Options Available report in Optifacts menu 11-14 to find the num and bit for each applicable lite-up.

From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 11 - Retail Transfer and press Enter.
Select Option 14 - Pricing Options Available Report and press Enter.
- Run the report and make a note of the num and bit.
In the example below, the num is 31, and the bit is 5:
Set up a Job Data Definition
Refer to the Defining Job Data Definition Fields with Examples document for full details on each field.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press Enter.
Select Option 6 - Configuration Editor and press Enter.
Select Option 7 - Edit Job Data Definitions and press Enter.
The Prompt Configuration for Miscellaneous Job-Related Data window is displayed.
- Press “A” to add a new record.
- Enter all the applicable data as per the diagrams below, pressing Enter past each field.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Press “E” to exit the screen.
Set up the Job Data Trigger
Refer to the Defining Job Data Triggers document for full details on each field.
From the Optifacts main menu:
Select Option 3 - Editor Utilities and press Enter.
Select Option 6 - Configuration Editor and press Enter.
Select Option 8 - Edit Job Data Triggers and press Enter.
The Triggers to Cause Prompts for Miscellaneous Job-Related Data window is displayed.
- Press “A” to add a new record.
- Enter all the applicable data as per the diagrams below pressing enter past each field.
- The message that you want to print gets entered in the Default Value field.
- Press Escape to save the data.
- Press “E” to exit the screen.
You Can edit the Default Value to hold the message that you’d like to see on the invoice. Change this as often as you’d like by editing this record. You might also add more records that tie to different lite-ups (e.g., Messages that relate to Anti-Reflect could relate to the num and bit for the Anti-Reflect lite-up.
