Introduction

This document provides instructions on

how to match

matching the system inventory quantity on hand

(in the system)

to the physical frame count

in the inventory

.

Procedure

Step 1 - Clear Inventory Forms

From the Optifacts main menu:

Type Select Option 12 – Frame-Parts Inventory and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 3 – Frame Cycle Counts and press enterEnter.

Type Select Option 1 – Clear Inventory Forms and press enterEnter.

The Frame Description Editor displays.Image Removed

  • Type F Press ‘F’ to clear frames and press enterEnter.
  • Type Y Press ‘Y’ to continue and press enterEnter.

Any existing old forms will be get cleared.Image RemovedImage Removed

  • Press any key to continue.

Step 2 - Generate the Forms

Type

Select Option 2 – Physical Inventory Forms and press

enter

Enter.

The Inventory Physical Form Generate screen displays.Image Removed

  • Type F Press 'F' to select frames and press enter.

  • Type Enter the starting bin location in the Bin Start field or type Enter * to designate all bins and press enter.Type
  • Enter the ending bin location in the Bin End field or type Enter * to designate all bins and press enter.
  • Type Y Enter ‘Y’ in the Order by Bin Location? (Y/N) field and press enter.
  • Type Enter the beginning manufacturer code in the Begin Mfr field or type Enter * to designate all mfr’s and press enterMfrs.Type
  • Enter the ending manufacturer code in at the End Mfr field or type Enter * to designate all mfr’s and press enterMfrs.
  • Type Enter the beginning frame name in the Begin Name field or type Enter * to designate all frame names and press enter.Type
  • Enter the ending frame name in the End Name field or type Enter * to designate all frame names and press enter.

The “Has the data been printed correctly (Y/N)” message displays.

  • Type Y Enter ‘Y’ if correct 
  • Type N Enter ‘N’ to repeat the process.

Step 3 - Enter the Counts

Type

Select Option 3 - Physical Inventory Entry and press

enter

Enter.

Type

Select Option the appropriate page number and press

enter

Enter.

  • Press Enter past the SKU field.
  • Type Enter the number of frames from the manual verification of physical inventory in the Counted field and press enter.

  • The next SKU and frame data display automatically displays.
  • Repeat the process for all SKUs on the page.
  • When Once all changes are complete, press Escape to return to the Optifacts Physical Inventory Menuexit.

Step 4 - Physical Count Variance

  • Type Select Option 4 – Physical Count Variance and press enterEnter.

Output to Screen Only?

  • Type N Press ‘N’ to print the report
  • Type Y Press ‘Y’ to view on screen.

Report on Frame or Parts?

  • Type F Press ‘F’ to report on Frames.

Printing is complete

  • Press Enter to return to the Optifacts Physical Inventory Menuexit.

Step 5 - Update the Inventory

Type

Select Option 5 – Update from Physical Form and press

enter

  • When the update process is complete, press any key to continue.
