There are 2 ways to enter a side shield in this section, you can either use the browse button next the “Side shield” heading, or you can enter a UPC code in the UPC field. The browse button will take you to the Rx-Inventory browse screen.
When entering a UPC, the code is verified against the data in Rx-Inventory, and if a match is found, the information for that UPC is returned and displayed in the appropriate fields.
If the pricing module is active, the price for the side shield will also be retrieved from the Rx-Inventory system when the “Calc” button is pressed.
