Prerequisite:
Make sure that the “RxUniverse” folder on the server is shared to “Everyone” with
full rights/permissions. Also on the server, create a user “omics” with the password
“omics” with administrator rights/permissions.
Installation
With Windows Explorer, find your server then go into the “%path%\RxUniverse\Install\ThinClient” folder.
Right click on the “setup.exe” program and click on “Run as Administrator”.
If you see this message, click on the “Yes” button:
When you see this screen click on the “Next” button:
Note:This process will create a folder called “RxUniverse-Workstation” on
your local “C:\” drive. All the necessary Thin Client files will be installed in this folder.
Then if you get this screen, click on the “Anyone who uses this computer (all users)”
button:
Once the installation is complete, you will find the Rx-Universe Thin Client icon on your
desktop:
Right click on the icon and click on “Properties”:
In the Target line replace “RxUniverseNet” with the server’s IP address or the server
name:
Note: Remember that each WorkStation has to have a unique WS
number. If this is the case, change the number “10” to another number that has not been used yet.
We also recommend that you change the “Privilege Level” to “Run the program as an administrator” for all users:
Right click on the “Rx-Universe” Thin Client icon, then click on “Properties” and Click on "Advanced:
Click on the “Compatibility” tab, then on the “Change settings for all users”:
Click in the “Run this program as an administrator” box to activate it:
Click on the “Apply” button and then on the “OK” button until you have returned to
your desktop.
