Important

Rx-Universe 7.55.00 and Rx-Xplore 1.4.0 are required to use this workstation.

Current Limitations

  • You cannot cancel/delete orders with lab supplied frames.

  • When an order requires breakage entry, you will have to enter the breakage FIRST in the Breakage Entry Workstations before you delete an order. You cannot enter a breakage aftter the order is deleted.

Overview

This workstation allows users in your lab who have appropriate access/permissions to delete/cancel an order Rx-Universe.

Required Setup and Configuration

In Rx-Universe

  • Set up cancellation reasons.

    •  Create cancellation reasons under Setup -> Order Delete Reasons.

  • Set up the code to require a reason code when canceling an order.

    • There is an Rx-Universe flag that is a flag to require you to select a reason code when deleting an order. If this flag is checked/selected, the user tries to delete an order, you will have to select a reason code from the list that will be displayed before you can proceed with the deletion. This functionality is only available in Rx-Universe Version 7.55.00.

In Rx-Hub

  • In Rx-Hub, edit the role of the user you want to grant access to.

  • Grant the role “Use” permission for Order Delete in the Rx-Xplore permissions tab. Make sure you click on the “Update Role” button to save the settings. Learn more about setting up roles.

Canceling/Deleting an Order

After setting up the Rx-Universe reason codes (if your lab requires reason codes to delete an order) and granting the appropriate user permissions, you can now use the Order Cancel workstations in the Rx-Workstations module.

To do this, follow the following steps:

  • Open Rx-Workstations modules.

  • On the side navigation, select the Order Delete option (Trash Icon).

  • Search for the order you want to delete by entering the order number in the text field and clicking on Submit.

  • The order number, tray number, job type, account number, patient, and status of the order should display. If the order does not have information on any of these fields in Rx-Universe, it will show blank text for that field.

If the “Enter reason code when deleting an order” flag is ON:

  • The list of the cancellation/delete reasons will show. This list comes from the “Order Delete Reasons” section in Rx-Universe.

  • You need to select/click a reason button.

  • After selecting a reason, the confirmation dialog will display. Click on Okay, it should proceed with deleting the order. A delete successful message will be displayed.

If the “Enter reason code when deleting an order” flag is OFF:

  • You will only see the Cancel Order button option.

  • You can click on Cancel Order to proceed with the order cancellation.

A message will display upon submission to indicate if the order was deleted successfully in Rx-Universe.

An error message with the failure reason will display if the cancel/delete submission failed.

  • No labels
