Calculations

A new option has been added to the Surf1 tab under "System Settings" - "Min ET @ Crib Diam".  This allows a minimum thickness to be set, system-wide, at the crib diameter of a job, which protects against knife-edge blanks cutting into soft tools used in cut-to-polish polishers.  Note that increasing the thickness of a blank to meet the minimum ET at the crib diameter will increase the thickness of the edged lens (version 6.41.00).

Display of the final lens in 3D has been added to the Order Entry screen.  For complete details, please see

Digital Surfacing

A checkbox has been added to the device setup to indicate a DLM (digital lens mapper).  When used with an IOT Camber design, the following labels will be mapped to the values sent in the second column, from IOT:

VCA LabelLabel from IOT
BCERIN_BCERIN
BCERUP_BCERUP
KPRVM_KPRVM
KPRVA_KPRVA
LDPATH_LDPATH2

If the checkbox is checked, and requests BCERIN, for example, if _BCERIN exists in the LMS file returned from IOT, the value associated with _BCERIN will be sent as the value for BCERIN, for this device only.  This allows for a Camber design to be blocked "upside down", and for the correct values to be sent to the DLM (version 6.41.00).

Zeiss digital can send back crib data in CRIBFMT for some jobs.  If a full-service (edged) job received CRIBFMT data, and the next Zeiss job processed was an uncut without frame measurements, the CRIBFMT data from the previous job might be carried forward to the new uncut job.  This has been corrected (version 6.41.00).

Device Interfaces

VCA over-rides have been added to the Addon table.  As with lens styles, devices, accounts, and orders, values for specific VCA labels can be specified for specific addon codes. For example, to set label CXFILMTYP for a specific hydrophobic AR:

The handling of cribbing has been changed for the non-VCA Satisloh interface for older V-series generators. A checkbox to suppress cribbing has been added to the device setup screen (as for VCA devices), and the lab can now specify 0 allowance for cribbing on these devices.  Previously, a setting of 0 allowance is what indicated cribbing should not be done (version 6.41.00).

Inventory

The allowable values for Min and Max Supply Days have been expanded to 9999 from 99 for Inventory Mass Maintenance (version 6.40.00).

The maximum quantity that can be entered for the Min and Max quantities in mass maintenance has been changed to 499999 (version 6.41.00).

Reporting

A checkbox has been added to the Orders1 tab in System Parameters, "Print patient name on AR envelope".  This can be unchecked to meet requirements of specific countries regarding privacy (ie HIPPA) (version 6.41.00).

A new option has been added to export information on shipped orders, including pricing, to an XML file.  This option is found on the "Pricing" menu; the user can select a range of dates and customers, and specify the name and location of the file to be created (version 6.41.00).

The Essilor Manufacturer report has been modified to include the Varilux Comfort W2+ products and the Physio W3+ products (version 6.41.00).

Manufacturer Reporting

The Shamir report has been changed to match Shamir's new format, reporting on redos, farmouts, and Glacier Plus AR (version 6.41.00).

The Essilor report has been modified to allow it to be sent via ftp as well as by email.  In addition, it can be run automatically as part of the monthend, using new checkboxes on the "Dayend" tab under "System Parameters".  Columns for new products "Varilux Comfort W2+, W2+ Fit and W2+ Eyecode", and for "Varilux Physio W2+, W2+ Fit and W2+ Eyecode" have been added (version 6.41.00).
