Important

Rx-Universe 7.68.00 is required for some of the features available on this release.

See Module Dependency for the complete dependency list.

Overview

This release introduces a series of enhancements and bug fixes designed to improve usability, performance, and the overall user experience across Rx-Suite. Key updates include streamlined processes in Rx-Inventory, enhancements in Rx-Site, and crucial bug resolutions.

New Features and Enhancements

Rx-Inventory Enhancements

  • Frame Management Improvements:

    • Recalled Frames Handling: Enhanced the handling of frames marked as "Recalled" and "Special Order Items" with automated inclusion in purchase orders if the available quantity is below zero, and manual addition flexibility through the Add Line feature.

    • Return Management Authorization (RMA) Flexibility: Frame Inventory Personnel can now edit RMA details for vendor returns after creation and before closure, facilitating accurate documentation and updates throughout the return process.

    • Data Model Optimization:

      • FrameSizeColor Table Update: Moved the date_last_used field from the FrameSizeColor table to the FrameWarehouse Model. This change facilitates better performance through enhanced caching capabilities on the FrameSizeColor Model.

Optimization Impact: Due to the optimization of the FrameSizeColor table, any report using the Date Last Used column with the Frame Record report target must remove that field before upgrading to Rx-Inventory 1.18.X. After the update, the column can be re-added under Frame Warehouse Information → Last Used column.

Rx-Reports/Rx-Xplore Enhancements

  • Breakage Reason Reporting: Introduced the ability to import and report on the last breakage reason and code for each eye. This feature allows lab managers to access detailed breakage data per eye, enhancing the granularity and usefulness of reports.

    • New Reportable Fields: Added new fields related to the last breakage reason to the All Orders, Complete, Breakage, and Incomplete targets in Rx-Reports, all of which are now reportable.

    • Exportable Values: The new breakage fields are exportable in both CSV and PDF formats.

    • Automated OrderLastBreak Columns: Similar to other Right/Left fields, the system will automatically generate OrderLastBreak columns, providing a comprehensive view of the most recent breakage details.

Rx-Site Synchronization Improvement

  • Introduced a synchronization feature that utilizes a specific date/time as a token to enhance system performance and reliability.

Bug Fixes

Rx-Inventory Fixes:

  • Cycle Count Locking Issue: Fixed a defect allowing continued scanning even when the cycle count is locked, ensuring proper cycle count closure.

  • Lens Pick Submission Delay: Addressed delays in displaying lens information post-submission, improving the efficiency of lens processing.

  • CSV Import Error Handling: Corrected an issue where imports failed due to missing color data, streamlining the import process.

Rx-Reports Fixes:

  • Rx-Reports Display Misalignment: Resolved display alignment issues when generating reports with more than 20 columns, enhancing the clarity and readability of reports.

Looking Forward

These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to enhancing Rx-Suite’s functionality and user satisfaction. We value your feedback and are dedicated to continuous improvement.
