Customer Service

When a column header is pressed to sort the orders based on that header, the “Search for” field will now be cleared. Under certain circumstances, it was causing inaccurate information to be shown in Job History.

Order Entry

A new check box has been added to the Order1 tab in System Settings; “Prompt for frame information”. When checked, it will allow the user to enter frame information on the order (specifically, frame name, manufacturer, color, eye size, bridge size, temple size and part code). These fields are free text, meaning they are not validated and have no ties to inventory. They will be printed on the standard invoice and the standard invoice with logo.

Work Tickets

For digital jobs, the edge thicknesses displayed on the work ticket are now calculated from the SDF file returned from the digital calculator. If the digital calculator does not return an SDF file (either because of an error or because of a surface point file in a different format) no edge thicknesses are printed around the frame shape on the work ticket.

Lens Configurations

The Lens Treatment Code maintenance screen has bee modified. The “Is this a scratch coating” checkbox is now disabled if any of the following checkboxes are checked: “Is this resin a photochromatic”, is this a polarized coating” or “Is this an anti-reflective coat”.

Shipping

When completing a Stock order, the resulting AR transaction did not calculate the “Net Amount” field correctly.

When completing an order that has a 100% order discount and the order is for one-eye only, the resulting AR transaction could contain non-zero values under certain circumstances. (ie. pair prices that result in half-cents that also contained an item discount)

Added a new packing slip function. Shipping / Packing Slips.

Remote orders

When a remote order has a left-eye only pattern tracing, the remote order process could lock up or the resulting trace is corrupted. This has been resolved.

Devices

Fixed an issue with the VCA device interface, the fields used to calculate the CRC check digit were too small.

When blocking a lens off-center (for example a decentered progressive blocked on OC), if the calculated CRIB is larger than the blanksize, this is valid, but some generators will reject the job. Previously, we would adjust the crib down to the blanksize, but this is NOT valid when the lens is blocked off-center. Changed the VCA interface to suppress cribbing when the CRIB > BLANKSIZE (ie send CRIB=0) instead.

When receiving a left-eye only trace, the mirror process for the right-eye was not mirroring the ZTILT or the CIRC3D fields.

Traces identified with _SHAPE were not creating orders with the frame type controlled by FTYP and ETYP when electronic orders were processed.

Digital Surface Types

Under certain circumstances, after editing a digital surface entry, the user could no longer edit other entries without first having return to the main menu. This has been corrected.

Reports

Under certain circumstances, some accounts were being displayed after the total line on the Digital Surfacing by Vendor Report. This has been corrected.

A “Payment Report” is now available that list all the payment information for a range of customers and dates. The new report can be found in the “Report” menu under the “A/R report” section called “Payment Report”.

A new “Tool Usage Report” is now available. Please see Tool Usage Report for details.

Two new reports have been created to report on taxes. a Tax Summary report and a Taxes by Customer report. Both of the report are available in the “Report/AR Report” menu.
