Overview

The function allows the user to group orders for one customer together, and assign them a shipping method and tracking number. It also allows the user to print a packing slip with all the entered orders on it.

Shipping / Packing Slip Procedure:

  • From the Main Menu select “Shipping”.

  • Then select “Shipping / Packing Slip”

The program uses the standard browse window.

You can re-print a packing slip by selecting the desired packing slip and then pressing the print button in the toolbar.

Maintenance Screen

Customer: Enter the customer for the packing slip. This is a required field, it must be entered to create a packing slip. You can use the search button to select from the available customers.

Date / Time: When creating a new packing slip, these fields will default to the current date/time. They may be modified if desired.

Ship Method: This field allows for the entry of the shipping method used to send orders to the customer. You can use the search button to select from the allowable shipping methods.

Tracking Number: Enter the tracking number (if any) associated with this shipment.

Order number: Enter the orders that will be part of the shipment. If the order is valid, it will be added to the list for processing. In order to be valid, an order must be completed and must belong to the customer associated with the packing slip. If an order was completed 30 days or more prior, a warning will be displayed and you can decide if you want to include this order or not. If an order was shipped on another packing slip, a warning will be displayed, you can then decide if you want to include it on this packing slip.

Saving: When saving the packing slip, all of the orders contained in the orders list, will be updated with the tracking number, ship method, date/time of this packing slip. After the information is saved, you will be asked if you want to print the packing slip.

Modifying: You may modify an existing packing slip to add more order to it or change the shipping method or tracking number. All the orders on the packing slip will reflect these changes.

Order screen

From the Customer service screen, right-click on the mouse to access the popup menu, select “View”, “View Order Flags”.

This will display the order flags screen. At the bottom right, the shipping information is displayed. The packing slip date/time, Shipping method and tracking number from the packing slip are visible here.
