Ship jobs using - This setting controls the selection method for the shipping function. Select on of the following:
Invoice number - To use the invoice number as the default shipping key
Tray number - To use the tray number as the default shipping key
Auto populate pack slip table on completion - If this option checked, then when an order is completed, it will automatically be added to a pacing slip with a 0 date/time, in the packing slip table.
At the end of the day, or when the lab wants to physically ship the jobs, they can print the packing slip(s), which will populate the date and time in the packing slip, and print all the jobs that have been completed for that customer since the last time a packing slip was printed.
This allows a lab to add jobs through the day, to a packing slip, and print the result at the end of the day.
Auto complete after # days - Some labs wish to use the LMS only for calculations, and do not wish to track performance, shipped jobs, etc. For these labs, doing the “Ship” function is an unnecessary step.
Setting this parameter to a value greater than 0 will cause orders to be AUTOMATICALLY shipped (completed), that number of days after they are entered. This can mean that, in the event of multiple breakages, or jobs sent out for coatings, etc., jobs COULD be marked completed when they are actually still in process, so this option should be used with care.
The number of days specified is the absolute number of days that have elapsed since the RECEIVE date of the order. Holiday dates are ignored for this function.
Prompt to print invoices at completion - after entering orders to be completed (using the Complete Jobs option under Shipping), the user can optionally be prompted to print invoices for the completed jobs, based on this checkbox.
Prompt to print edit list at completion - after entering orders to be completed (using the Complete Jobs option under Shipping), the user can optionally be prompted to print an edit listing showing the orders just completed, based on this checkbox.
Packing slip template - This setting specifies the template to use for packing slips. The default is PAK-STANDARD.XSL, but other options can be chosen. Any XSL file beginning with a name of “PAK-” in the XSL folder under the root Rx-Universe folder can be selected.
