To allow traces to be attached to an RX-Site order we have to install a small software. This small software will listen to the com port of the tracer and create a file with all the trace information. This software has to be installed locally on the PC that the tracer is connected to.
1- You need to dowload download this compressed file here → here → RXTrace.exe
2- Once the download is completed run the RxTrace.exe and click on "Extract" It will extract files in the C:\RXTrace folder
3- After its extracted browse to C:\RXTrace, and you will find the 3 files below
4- Right click on MinSerial.ini and click Edit, this will open the file with notepad
5- Inside this file you will need to modify the communication information to match the local tracer.
6- Once completed you need to copy the "minSerial.exe - Shortcut" to the desktop, the easiest way is to right-click on it and click send to "Desktop"
7- After the Shortcut Icon is on the desktop you double click on it and you will should get this windows below. You will need to send the "license request number" to support@omics.com , once we receive the request we will reply back with the activation key
8- Once you receive the key via email, if the window is no longer open relaunch the application and type in the provided key. Once activated you will get this message belwo
9- Restart the application and you will the screen below. Note that the software need to be running at all time for it to receive the traces from the tracerthe message below.
Please note that If you get an error in the screen below we recommend that you review the MinSerial.INI and also verify the "COM port" configuration is correct and that you have the proper windows permission to the "C:\Trace" folder.
