Overview
Frame pick to scan the lenses and frames and update the Inventory picked on the Rx-UniverseThe Rx-Inventory Frame Pick feature allows you to perform lens and frame pick processes using our web-based and mobile-friendly Rx-Inventory platform. Our scanning functionality is designed to make your workflow easier and more manageable.
Permissions
The relevant permissions to perform frame pick can be found in Rx-Hub → Roles → (Specific Role) → Rx-Inventory. Learn more or get a refresher on how our User Roles and Permissions work.
To use the Frame Pick feature, you need to have the Frame Pick → Perform permission granted to the role of the user.

Ensure Rx-Universe is installed and configured based on your lab’s inventory and workstation preferences. Sample configurations that impact picking are:

You have the option to perform lens or frame pick or both on an order. You can do so by checking on the Pick Lenses or Pick Frames flags. Checking both flags (default behavior) will allow you to perform both.

Scan Lens/Frame Items
To perform the pick, you would need to scan/enter the OPC of the lens (for lens pick) and or SKU of the frame item (for frame picking).

On a successful scan, the yellow icon indicator of the pickable item will change to a green check mark. A Last Scan field will display the OPC/UPC of the last scanned item. |

On failed scan, an error message to indicate the failure reason will display. |
2. Once you scanned the items that you picked, you can click on the Submit Scans button to complete the picking process. The scans are submitted automatically if all the required items are scanned.

Important: You can not submit partial picks on both lenses and frames. |
Frame Pick Transactions
Completing a lens and/or frame pick will generate respective inventory transaction records. It will also update the Inventory Picked and Inventory Updated flags on the Rx-Universe Inventory Transaction page.

To do that, open the Rx-Universe → Orders → Customer Service → Selected Order → View → View Inventory Transactions. You need to right-click the order number you scanned recently and select the View.

After the picks are complete, the respective Inventory Picked flags will be checked.
The Inventory Updated flag and the Transactions will also update. The same rules are followed on the transaction records based on the inventory update settings.

Here you can find a brief description of the fields that can be found on Frame are relevant to Frame/Lens Pick.
Column Name | Description |

Order Number | The order number of the item to lookup for lenses and framethe job that the pick is for. |
Tray Number | The tray order number of the item to lookup for lenses and framethe job that the pick is for. |
OPC | The OPC number Optical Product Code of the lens for scanning. This is a product identifier of a lens. |
UPC | The UPC number Universal Product Code of the frame for scanning.item. This is a product identifier of a frame item. |
