Rx-Universe allows users to import progressive topography files from manufacturers and export the information into a file that can be used for calculations.
There are two options under Progressive Topography:
...
Each will be looked at in detail below.
Import Manuf File
This screen allows users to enter the location and name of the file from the manufacturer, manufacturer code, material code and lens style. Once all of the information has been entered, click the "Import" button. This will import the file from the manufacturer into a database that the user can then view and edit.
*NOTE - the lens style must be set up before importing the file from the manufacturer. When creating the lens style, the "Progressive Type" field must contain a value starting with "X", "Y" or "Z". This indicates that the user will be importing and exporting the topography information themselves.
View/Edit/Export File
This is a standard browse window allowing the user to view the progressive topography information that was imported.
The user can edit the information if needed and then save the new values.
The user can then export the information into a file that can be used for calculations. Start by pressing the "2" button.
The user will now be prompted to enter the material code and progressive type that they want to export. Once the "Continue" button is pressed, they will be asked for confirmation and then the new file will be created directly in the PRG folder, ready to be used for calculations.
The user can also copy the progressive topography information if needed. Start by pressing the "1" button
The user will now be prompted to enter the material code and progressive type that they want to "Copy From" and then the material code and progressive type that they want to "Copy To". Once the "Continue" button is pressed, they will be asked for confirmation and then the information will be copied.
