Order Entry
Order Entry has been modified to check a new system setting to determine whether or not to allow a zero cylinder axis. This new checkbox can be found on the Orders2 tab in System Settings.
When doing a breakage for a digital job, if the user is prompted to recalculate the job, Rx-Universe now does NOT print a work ticket at breakage if the user requests recalculation; if they do not request recalculation, and the system parameter is set to print the work ticket, then Rx-Universe WILL print a work ticket for the job (with the results of the last digital calculation).
Change to only allow access to the _BLEND field if the lens style is blended (found on the Optional tab of Surfacing Options).
A change has been made to correct a problem where job flow settings (such as AR required, TINT required, etc) would sometimes not get set correctly for orders coming in from other systems.
A SV digital job that had compensated values would print NPD instead of Vdec on the PCL and PCI work tickets, and still show the labels for SegHt and ADD powers. This has been corrected.
Change to give an error message if the ED is less than the A or the B. This is only for "Uncut with frame" and "Full jobs" without tracing.
When using an XML work ticket, labels SLBP (slaboff prism in material index), SLDRP (slaboff reading drop), and _LOHSLBP (slaboff prism in angular degrees) are now supported, allowing these values to be printed on the work ticket.
The "Allow Zero PD" flag on System Settings is no longer checked for "Uncut without frame" jobs.
Lens Pick verify could be done for a digital job that had an invalid calculation or other error; this has been corrected.
Change to give more descriptive error messages when the segment width or depth is zero on the lens style.
Under certain circumstances the Wrap flag was being turned on for a lens style when it shouldn't have been. This has been corrected.
When doing a remake on a job that has an FTD or INV# trace, if the user presses F9/CALC before selecting an invoice number, the pattern name was being blanked out. This has been corrected.
When base curve charts exist for a specific manufacturer, including ranges not set for the default chart, blank selection was not detecting the extended range on the manufacturer-specific chart, neither when displaying the base curve on the Rx OE screen, nor when selecting the blanks. This has been corrected.
...
only one Rx prism is prescribed on an order, at an oblique angle, the wrap compensation calculation was failing. This has been corrected.
The PCL and PCI work tickets would sometimes show an incorrect "In-Stock" or "Out of stock" message when inventory levels are low, and an order uses the last pair of available lenses, or uses the last lens on a two-eye OU job. This has been corrected.
When the option for split base curves is set to use the base curve for the "average" power, the program was checking for the base curve for the average power before deciding whether the job qualified for split base curve or not. This meant it would sometimes not find the base curve for the average and throw an error, when trying to put both lenses on the same base curve was never an option. Changed the logic so that it only looks for the base curve for the average power if the job qualifies for same base curve, and if the option is set to average base curve.
If a remake was done where the original job was digital but the new one was toric, the work ticket printing checkbox remained checked for the digital work ticket and the toric job did not print a regular work ticket. This has been corrected.
When exporting a trace in VCA format, if there is no order found, but the EPRESS is set on the trace, the EPRESS from the trace record will now be exported.
When importing a trace from a VCA formatted file, now recognizes EPRESS and PANTO labels, saves ZTILT as ZTILT instead of frame curve, and changed the handling of DRILLE so that DRILLE=0 is not assumed to to indicate a drill frame with drill points
If you override blank selection by selecting an item from the blank selection list, and the item is not technically suitable for the job, it was not giving the appropriate warning message. This has been corrected.
If you modify an existing order and change the currently selected lens stype (ie from digital SV to toric SV), you can save the order without re-calculating it. This has been resolved.
For an Essilor Digital job, where Essilor selects the blank, if you modified an existing job for which calcs had already been done and blanks chosen, change the material of the job, the OE screen would appear to keep the new material, but when the job was saved the order would switch back to the old material. This has been corrected, so the user can now switch material on an Essilor Digital job without issue.
If the order contained prices with half-cents, and only one-eye was being produced, if the order contained 100% discount, the resulting order total could be $-0.01.
Remote Order
The VisionWeb remote interface has been enhanced to handle optical center as OC height when received with a single vision job.
When a digital job has been flagged to outsource, it should not be sent to the digital calculator.
When outsourcing jobs using VisionWeb, movement to job stations was not always correct, and the transfer flag was not being set correctly in some cases.
Added a new label "_SHAPE". When this label is received, the pattern database is checked to find a matching shape, this shape is then re-sized to the HBOX and VBOX label values and the resulting shape is saved as an "#INV" using the order number as the shape name. The new shape is also created as a "calculation only" pattern.
Shipping
When an order has digital lenses, and the order was outsourced to another lab, shipping the order would give a message saying that the order was waiting for digital calculations and would not allow shipping to be done.
...
When a digital order was outsourced to another lab. The , the order would give a WONF message on the device session when trying to call it up on a VCA device. This prevented edging a job that had been outsourced for surfacing, for example.
When a new remote order was scanned at a job tracking station to be transferred to an outside lab, the settings for lab 001 would be used to decide whether to transfer it, which is a problem if the settings for 001 are different, or if there is no lab 001 set up. Changed to correctly use the settings for the lab that is designated as the receiving lab.
If a frame was traced with an identifier of more than 8 characters, anything beyond 8 characters was being truncated when the trace was saved. This has been corrected.
If a lab was using a surface blocker with Up/Down prism axis notation, and doing digital jobs, any *PRVA values returned by the LDS might not be saved with the correct orientation. This has been corrected.
Fixed an issue with the VCA device interface. In some cases, the KPRVA fields were greater than 360 degrees.
Fixed an issue with the VCA device interface when attach a trace to an order. If the system settings required a re-calculation of the order when the trace was attached, the re-calculations were not being done if the order had gone through the day-end procedure.
Digital Interfaces
Added a check that the "Copy SDF from" path and the SDF path don't refer to the same path. Setting them both to the same thing causes the SDF file to be deleted. Note that it is still possible to have the two point to the same folder, by having one use a relative path and the other a complete path (for example, DS\SDF and the other C:\Rxuniverse\DS\SDF, if c:\rxuniverse is the root folder). Similarly, using substituted drives, etc., would allow the same behaviour. It is important, when using the "Copy SDF from" feature, to ensure that it does not point to the same folder as the "SDF" or design folder. The option "Copy from SDF" is really only needed when the generator can only pull SDF files from a single folder on the network, the lab uses multiple LDS vendors, and an LDS vendor can't specify a separate folder for SDF and LMS files (as Crossbows, for example).
Added support for the feasibility option for SIOU, Expertise, and A2Vision digital vendors.
Inventory
When viewing inventory transactions (F1 from the inventory maintenance screen), the order number has been added to the transaction grid and displayed if available.
Pricing
The Rx Pricing screens and the Add, Material and Lens Style pricing group screens have been modified so one user can be in the screens modifying the records at a time. This was done to remove the possibility of two users modifying the records at the same time which could cause invalid prices to be saved.
System Settings
A new checkbox has been added to the "Work Tickets" tab, "Create PDF of W/T in Folder". When checked this will save a copy of the work ticket PDF to a specified folder whenever it is printed. This option is only available for work ticket formats; PCI, PCL and XML.
