We recommend backing up the default installation folder. In this example we use: "C:\RxUniverse" (please note that if you selected to install RX-Universe in a different directory the path would be different)

The Backup and recovery procedures

OMICS Software Inc. recommends that you have proper backup and recovery procedures in place for your OMICS system and OMICS data files as part of a disaster recovery plan (DRP).  You are responsible for providing adequate backups to ensure the recovery of your OMICS system and OMICS data files in the event of a system failure, data lost and/or data corruption. These backup provisions should allow your business to be resumed in a timely manner.

If you have experienced a failure, OMICS Support will be able to assist you in the systematic order described below;

1-     OMICS support will advise you of the specific files (which files and what date) that you will need to recover from your backup system.

2-     Once the recovery process is completed, You (or your IT Provider) will need to notify OMICS Support that all the proper files have been recovered successfully.

3-     After the confirmation of successful data recovery, OMICS Support will then assist you in the rebuilding process of the OMICS Software & OMICS Data files.

OMICS Software Inc. recognizes the importance of these processes and would like to highly recommend that you consult with your current IT provider to help you organize and plan a proper disaster recovery plan (DRP) based on the below examples of a suggested preferred best practices:

A daily backup procedure

An off-site backup procedure

A minimum of 14 days backup retention.

A daily off-site rotation

A routine monitoring and testing of backup systems
